Homespun-the band
Formed in Rhyl 1998 Homespun gigged extensively in Northwales and surrounding areas (Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, etc) building a reputation, fanbase and have played support slots for:
"The Damned" "the UK subs" and "Spunge". The band have just finished recording material for the soon to be debut album "One flawed cause" the first 6 tracks of which were recorded and produced by Ronnie Stone (pixies, sonic youth, mansun,) at Parr street studios (Liverpool) the rest of the album has been recorded by the band in their home studio completing the last 3 tracks "the 8th apology" and "Badman" and "the dancehall" for the 14 track album. Homespun have entered several festivals this year to be anounced later . and are also working with promoters to book dates in the coming month/s in order for the band to showcase for interested companies.
"8th apology", "Badman", and "the dancehall" have all been played on lin2wales radio show by Neil Crud and badman has been played by Adam Walton on BBC radio one..
Homespun-tb spent a period under the studio names "f'n'l" and "the hellfire club" after having the origional name stolen(homespun) by Dave Rothetrays collaberation act under sony records "homespun". after replacing bass player Pete Rothwell
with the bands origional & then current rhythm guitarist Damien Sayell.
In returning to the origional 1999 line up of Terry/Tony/Damien, the band reclaimed the name Homespun only later adding (tb) (the band) to avoid legal complications.
The Band Have just finished filming the video to "Badman" with 1000words productions, the video was started on Tuesday May 9th, and should be finished for around the same time in June 2006. Neil Crud appears in the video as Badman along with a cameo from manager Steve Baker as the bearded nun.
The band are currently gigging and recording tracks for the debut album, to be released this year.
