Described elsewhere on this site as sounding "like LostProphets standing on top of a cellar door inside of which they have locked an increasingly desperate Ordinary Boys". Taking influences from Punk, Ska, Metal and Funk, this band has worked hard to stamp its own identity on their songs.
The first album ?It?s All About The Sax? was recorded in May 2004 and sold all 500 copies in and around their home town of Milton Keynes, ending up being voted Album of the Year by local newspaper MK Citizen. The 5-track EP ?Hardcore Hornography? (featuring the epic ?Hassle?) followed in January 2005 and repeated the trick.
Six.Point.Five plays a fantastic live show (regularly attracting hometown audiences of 500 people). Perhaps this is why the band has won awards as diverse as the regional Band Blitz to Sky TV?s nationwide music talent show ?First Up?, the prize which ultimately led them to record the Abbey Road Sessions EP with producer Dave Chang.
A first play on national radio was achieved in January 2005 when Radio One?s Mike Davies played ?Hassle? on two consecutive ?Lock Up? shows by audience request, and the band are regulars on Big George?s Show on BBC Three Counties Radio. The band has also featured on Steve Harris?s Show ?The Edge? on Virgin Radio Extreme.
