Oddness is a 4-piece band based in Manchester, England. Maxwell Watts (a.k.a Colin Crichton)is the singer-guitarist-saxophonist and is from Belgium. Rob Shneider who plays the bass comes from England. Angelos Gavriilidis plays the drums and was born in Greece. Simon who has recently joined plays keyboards-guitar and comes from Morecambe, England. The band formed in 2002 and create an original fusion of funk, rock, jazz with a film noir atmosphere. Tarantino meets The Doors with an afro beat twist. As with many great bands, the origin and formation was not easily put together. Maxwell and Rob auditioned over 4 drummers before setting on Angel (as he prefers to be called), keyboard players were also auditioned and passed through before setting on Crazy Diamond (as he has been renamed). As for gigs, this group aren't restricted by the boundaries of the U.K. They have been on several Tours which have taken them to places such as Belgium and Portugal.
