In life you must prioritise. And to prioritise you must have a
priority. In a rundown area of West Yorkshire called Kirklees the main priority
for four talented individuals was to get out of the going nowhere life
they were living and take the music industry by storm. Patrick Philips
and Jake Cunliffe came together years ago with a shared interest in
music and started playing guitar, jamming along to tracks by Led Zeppelin
and Black Sabbath among others. Before long would-be session drummer
Tom Heaton joined them and took up drums and percussion full time.
Together, they played, and although at first nothing seemed to be going
anywhere, it would only take lyricist Chris Parkin to join the group for
things to finally take shape. After rehearsing for more than 8 months at
numerous practice spaces, a set of songs was written and still continues
to grow to this day, taking influence from those early artists to the
likes of The Smiths, Happy Mondays, Joy Division and The Stone Roses.
Now the group are gigging around the West Yorkshire area and are
continuously building up a loyal fan base. Their priority now is to succeed.
