Irish rockabilly superstar Imelda May has just released her first single from her second album.
The single, entitled 'Psycho' has a much deeper, raw sound as opposed to her first album Love Tattoo. The video is set in a pysch ward with May playing the sexy nurse role, along with a scene rocking out in a padded cell.
The inner City Dublin singer, who has had huge success in the UK and Ireland with Love Tattoo, releases new album Mayhem in September. Imelda has appeared numerous times on the Late Late Show in Ireland and Jools Holland in England and is set to bang with her next record. The singer even had a performance at The Grammys!
The now London-based singer recently spoke to Guttersnipe about her next album and, while hushed about details, spoke about being influenced by The Pretenders, Blondie, The Clash, music that is not and will never date. She said she wants to make her music relatable, while having that signature vintage twang to it. May also added that the album has just finished mixing.
