WE ARE THE OCEAN are delighted to announce the release of the video for their new single, ‘Lucky Ones’. The track features on the re-release of the band’s massive debut album, ‘Cutting Our Teeth,’ which is due October 4th as a deluxe 2-disc package containing 4 brand new songs as well as tracks from their hugely successful and sold-out 2008, self-released EP.
“We're really stoked on our new video for 'Lucky Ones'” beams front-man Dan Brown. “It was shot not far from Guildford in a woodland area. It's the first time we've ever done an outdoors shoot and the first time we've filmed overnight!” A combination that he explains, with the addition of pyrotechnics, raised more than eyebrows amongst the locals. “The police turned up during filming, a nearby house had called them because they noticed a lot of fire. We tried to convince them to be in the video but they weren't keen!
‘Lucky Ones’ demonstrates the shift in direction the band is heading towards on the new album – more eclectic and full of soaring choruses that will reach out far and beyond their already huge fan base.
‘Lucky Ones’ will be released on 4th October with the re-release of ‘Cutting Our Teeth’.
The band is also soon to hit the road on their winter UK headline tour at the end of September/October, with a 4 band support bill – Brides, The Ghost of a Thousand, Chickenhawk and Our Last Night (check dates and listings for who is supporting when).
