New single Olympic Airways is due out October 6th on Transgressive records, complete with red hot remixes from critically revered Kompakt stalwarts Supermayer and Ewan Pearson, as well as Discjokke.
Following an unbeatable schedule of summer festivals across the world, including two unforgettable headline appearances at Underage and Field Day to 20,000 people, Foals will head back out on a full, fast selling UK tour this Autumn.
2008 has been an incredible whirlwind for the Oxford band. Starting out the year being widely tipped as the band of 2008, Foals went on to defy the pitfalls of hype and prove their importance when they released their top 3 debut album ‘Antidotes’ – a record that has been, without question, instrumental in defining this year’s sound.
Since the heady days of playing squat parties and toilet venues, the band have gone on to win over live audiences across the globe. With their tight delivery, frenetic energy and wound up, about-to-snap tension on-stage, Foals have become widely regarded to be one of the most exciting live bands around.
Support on this tour comes from four hot, challenging and compulsive bands also starting to make waves on the live scene: Danananakroyd, Holy Fuck, Wild Beasts, and Maps and Atlases.
