The undisputed rising star of 2010’s festival season, thanks to storming slots at the Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, Wireless, Latitude and Secret Garden Party and with Bestival still to go, I Blame Coco rounds off the summer with the release of her new single ‘Quicker’, taken from her debut album ‘The Constant’ which is due out October 4th.

Meshing Coco’s varied musical influences perfectly and pulsing with the vintage urgency of the Hacienda dancefloor, the innovative hard-edged disco
hit ‘Quicker’ more than explains why I Blame Coco is one of this year’s most
significant new acts.

At 20 years old, Coco Sumner’s lyrics, vocals and multi-stranded sonic
explorations hint at a kind of emotional maturity and depth which outclasses
her contemporaries. Produced by one half of the acclaimed Wild Geese Dan
Foat, alongside his production partner Nathan Boddy, ‘Quicker’ comes with a
host of hi-octane remixes from RackNRuin, Brad Holland and Milk & Sugar.

Following on from the acclaimed singles ‘Ceasar’ and ‘Selfmachine’, as well
as the limited edition version of Neil Young/St Etienne’s ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’, ‘Quicker’ looks set to follow Coco’s previous releases into the hearts and minds of the UK’s discerning pop fans.

I Blame Coco’s debut album, ‘The Constant’ is out October 4th.
