The Prodigy Play Milton Keynes Bowl

There can be no doubt that 2009 belonged to The Prodigy. Their album “Invaders Must Die” (released February), which entered the charts at No. 1, has sold over 1.2 million copies to date (600,000 in the UK alone) and was the most successful independent album release of 2009 in Europe. It is Double Platinum in the UK, Triple Platinum in Russia, Gold in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Australia and Ireland, and has sold 80,000 copies in Japan. The singles notched up an impressive 700,000 UK sales, with both Omen and Warrior’s Dance attaining Silver status.

Securing 6 national publication covers (including Q, NME, Clash and The Sun), and featuring in countless other publications, The Prodigy started and ended 2009 on the BBC Radio 1 A-list, becoming one of the most played act on the station throughout 2009, and also became the 4th most popular act on LastFM.

Renowned for their incendiary live performances, The Prodigy jetted back and forth across the globe, covering in excess of 200,000 miles (the equivalent of flying around the world over 8 times!) to play to 1.7 million people at 113 gigs in 37 countries – the most shows they have ever performed in one year!

And if that wasn’t enough, The Prodigy will be performing their biggest ever solo show on Saturday 24th July at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Special guests are: Pendulum, Enter Shikari, Chase & Status, Does It Offend You, Yeah? and Zane Lowe.
