Above and Beyond Announce Brixton Date

Only a select band of electronic artists are able to take on a venue as grand as Brixton Academy. Anjunabeats’ Above & Beyond are now among them.

For their final date in the capital for 2010, Tony, Jono and Paavo will take centre-stage at the world-famous 02 Academy on Saturday 30th October – their biggest solo UK show to date, after years of consistently selling out venues such as The Gallery at Ministry of Sound in London, Cream and Godskitchen.

Above & Beyond are responsible for one of the most genre-defining trance albums of recent years with ‘Tri-State’. Respected as world class DJs, they are also rightly lauded as one of the most respected production outfits in electronic music with tracks like ‘Alone Tonight’, ‘Home’ and ‘Satellite’ proving their unique ability to connect with fans worldwide.

Their Trance Around The World show is aired on over 120 FM, Internet and Satellite radio stations across the globe and reaches 20 million listeners every week. In recent years, they have played to over 1 million people on Barra Beach in Rio Di Janiero and even been chosen to soundtrack the prestigious launch of Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo. The trio are now globetrotting superstars, selling out shows across the four corners of the planet and redefining all that is great about dance music.

Coming off the back of their outstanding new ‘Anjunabeats Volume 8’ compilation, a fanatically attended Anjunabeach showcase at Cream in Ibiza (at Amnesia), the closing dance tent set at Glastonbury’s 40th year celebrations, and an appearance at the Electric Daisy Carnival, where they played in front of 60,000 people at the LA Coliseum, Above & Beyond continue to set the standard for others to follow.
Brixton Academy represents the latest step in their journey and their biggest UK show to date.
