Intraverse Entertain Overnight Trapped Commuters

Upcoming alternative rock act INTRAVERSE had an unscheduled stop on their UK tour last night, as they were trapped overnight for 10 hours on the Charing Cross train service to their hometown of Tunbridge Wells, due to the heavy snowfall currently devastating the UK.

The band, who were on tour with TV star Matt Berry’s band (of The Mighty Boosh / IT Crowd fame) played one of their final dates of this run in Reading at Sub 89 last night, but came a cropper when trying to get back home for some rest before tonight’s final scheduled show in Leicester.

The band’s frontman Max Pepe said, “The day didn’t start off too well with our touring van being snowed-in that morning, and our drummer being too ill to perform. So we decided to do an acoustic set as we never like cancelling a show, and made our way to Reading via train.”

Making a hasty exit after the show via London, the band had to wait for two hours at Charing Cross for a train to even be available to begin the journey home. Finally getting on one shortly before 1am, the band didn’t get off the train until 11am this morning.

Passenger John Nicklin said, “To be honest everyone was in good spirits, particularly as the band decided to do an impromptu acoustic performance and their singer was bouncing around the carriage like a mad man!”

Max added, “We actually wrote another two songs whilst on the train which may go on our debut album, but we had to collect snow on the windows for drinking water!”

Intraverse will be unable to perform the final date of the tour in Leicester tonight, and their debut single ‘Please Don’t Share Your Kisses’ is released on Monday through itunes worldwide.
