The Salt Flats are proud to announce their self-titled debut EP, which is due for release on July 4th 2011. The songs themselves are a mix of traditional and modern and their arrangements build on simple but beautiful lyrics and melodies. They include traditional working songs, trawlermen's tales and songs exploring themes of love and loss, sometimes delicate but sometimes euphoric. Whilst musically very much rooted in the present, one can still hear echoes of times passed.
