Katie was pronounced the highest selling female artist in Britain in
2005, for the second year running, selling more than 1 million albums.
In addition to great success in Britain, her adopted country, Katie
continues to be one of Britain's most successful exports.
'Piece By Piece' has sold 1.2million copies in Britain and a further 1.2 million copies abroad. In addition to a number 1 chart position in the UK album charts, the top 10 chart story so far includes #1 in Holland, Norway and Denmark, #2 in Ireland and Iceland, #3 in South Africa, #4 in Poland, #5 in Germany and #9 in Sweden and Belgium.
Overall the album peaked at #2 in the Billboard European Top 100 Chart. Katie has now sold more than 5
million albums worldwide since November 2003.
Nominated for two Brit Awards Katie has also received nominations for
the "Best International Female" at the Edison Awards in Holland and for
the "Best International Female (Rock & Pop)" at the Echo Awards in
Germany. Katie's 10 week European sell-out tour included 18 dates in
Britain and a further 28 dates across continental Europe with a total
audience exceeding 150,000 people.
The video for Spider's Web was filmed on Katie's recent tour. The CD
also includes Cry Baby Cry as performed by Katie on Radio 2's Lennon
Live special programme in December 2005.
