We recently discovered Steve Albini's ball-crushing article from the mid-nineties in Maximum Rock'n'Roll Issue #133. [link].
Its basically the story of band who get signed to a major label and what happens to the money from that. It's a lesson to all bands looking to get big advances on record deals and it's relevant to all musicians even today.
Albini's got his head screwed on alright and he proves it with this awesome article that will dispell any deluded dreams you may have of making a fortune by getting signed to a major label.
