Krautrock Legend Speaks Out About Engineers Album

Krautrock legend and inspiration behind the record Michael Rother has spoken out today about Engineers’ long awaited second album, ‘Three Fact Fader’, which is released today through Kscope.

Rother, a founding member of Neu!, Harmonia and one-time member of Kraftwerk has commented on the band’s use of a sample from Harmonia song ‘Watussi’ on their album opener and single ‘Clean Coloured Wire’. Discussing the use of the sample he said “I really think that’s a wonderful piece of music. I get goose bumps when I hear the vocals – it’s amazing, it’s very beautiful.” He continues “It’s beautiful to hear results of that kind – it gives me a good feeling for my own music.”

‘Three Fact Fader’, which was streamed for preview on NME.com last week and selected as Sunday Times Culture’s Album of the Week, is the band’s first release since their eponymous debut album – released in 2005 to high critical acclaim.

The band will also be playing their first live show for over 2 years THIS FRIDAY (July 10th) at the decadent Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush – a very special gig that will see German electronica genius Ulrich Schnauss joining in on keyboard duties. A limited number of guest list places are still available, so if you’re interested then get in touch now!

Praise for ‘Three Fact Fader’:

"Engineers transcend shoegazing and approach the heights of Spiritualized at their space-rocking best. We need these guys around" - **** Sunday Times Culture Album Of The Week

"Superb… like Animal Collective with Phil Spector at the controls" – 8/10, NME
