Sixty Watt Bayonets To Play Reading & Leeds

The four piece, ex Reading University students, have been invited by the BBC Radio 1/6 Music to play at this years Reading/Leeds festival. They were hand picked and apparently beat off hundreds of other bands. The band released their debut record proper POUNDING HEARTS,FIGHTING WORDS in July on the Caversham based record label Broken Tail. Velocity Recordings will be releasing it as a worldwide download release on August 10th. The band are less than 18 months old and feature Penny Bayonet lead singer, who is a history school teacher by day. Will Bayonet(guitar) uncle is Bruce Foxton from THE JAM
