Ned's Atomic Dustbin Live Date And Live Release

A more suspicious mind might be thinking that the early 90’s indie bands are trying to make a full comeback onto the scene. Looking around you will find the Wonderstuff still touring, James came back on the scene a couple of years ago and will be back next year, The Levellers haven’t ever really gone away – and now Ned’s Atomic Dustbin are back for a live date and also a Live release as well.

And considering how the music industry looks today – Say what you will about some of the big headline acts, but are any of then likely to leave too much of an impact from an industry that thrives on bands that sound very similar?

Whether this will mark a return for the band full time or not remains to be seen, but it is a welcome return anyway:

The Date: Saturday 19th December. Shepherd’s Bush Empire will play house to the band for one night playing the entirety of their debut album as well as some other selected tracks.

“Reunion gigs seem to be the in thing at the moment – so we wanted to do something different and give the fans something more than a best of set…..”
states frontman Jonn Penney “We’ll all be going back to ’91 together– these are songs that people have been asking us to play for years and now we
have a perfect excuse to make these people happy!”

The release: A special CD & DVD package is also being released – filmed at Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall. It will also include sound check footage as well as interviews with the band.

All we need now is Jesus Jones and Pop Will Eat Itself to do a revival and we'll all be set!
