Depeche Mode Raise More Than £400,000 for The Teenage Cancer Trust
Helpful Boys

From the stage of the 55000 seater Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf and the venue for the penultimate concert of the groups’ ‘Tour of The Universe’, Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver joined Depeche Mode in presenting a cheque for over £400'000 to Teenage Cancer Trust CEO, Simon Davies.

In December 2009, Hublot & Depeche Mode pledged their support to this cause, supporting teenagers with cancer, in terms of care, research, education, family support and specialized diagnoses.

Since then a series of joint activities have been conducted between Hublot and Depeche Mode to generate a maximum of funds for Teenage Cancer Trust:
- First, an auction unique in its kind, conducted from February 6th to 24th. 12 boxes comprising 12 exclusive Big Bang timepieces, each one displaying one of the group’s iconic albums on the dial. The boxes also included the vinyl and digital version of the album, a framed gold CD and signed photos.
- Then, a charity concert hosted by the group at the Royal Albert Hall in London on February 17. Thousands of fans massed in this unique venue to witness a great moment on this world tour. This concert was followed by a VIP reception, where the guests contributed generously to buy raffle tickets and the chance to win Hublot King Power Zirconium.

Tens of thousands of Depeche Mode & Hublot fans from the World over have answered to this call, making the auction an overwhelming success. The charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall sold out in a little over 40 minutes as did tickets for the VIP raffle.

The sum of their contributions has surpassed £400,000, to the great pleasure of all those involved.

“This joint project has proven to be a tremendous success! The result is amazing and we are so proud to have been part of this historical charity event. Depeche Mode have committed themselves with such enthusiasm to this project! It has been a humbling experience to join them on this journey. They are fans of Hublot and I am proud to associate our brand with their music and for a cause as important as the Teenage Cancer Trust...when you are passionate and successful in what you do, you should share and give to those less fortunate! This is exactly what Depeche Mode have done and I am proud that Hublot could help them achieve this. "
