Oxegen 2010 Initial Line-Up Announced!

Oxegen has had its launch for the 2010 festival this afternoon in the Academy, Dublin. Some of the biggest acts confirmed via Twitter have been Jay Z, Eminem, Muse, The Prodigy and Black Eyed Peas. Dance acts Calvin Harris, Faithless and David Guetta are set to play as well. For all your electro needs Goldfrapp, Empire Of The Sun, The Gossip, La Roux and Ellie Goulding are confirmed.

Fan favourites Vampire Weekend, Florence and The Machine, Stereophonics, Hot Chip and Paolo Nutini make their welcome return to the Punchestown festival. John Mayer, Newton Faulkner, Mumford and Sons, The Temper Trap, Wolfmother, Two Door Cinema Club, Broken Social Scene and The Coral are all set to play when the festival commences on July 9th.

The dance tent, which had phenomenal crowds at the 2009 festival has Arkansas, Van Helden, Steve Angello, Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, Steve Aoki, a Trak and Aeroplane confirmed to play.

Oxegen won Best Overseas Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2009, which was voted for by the fans. The weeekend event expects around 90,000 music lovers to descend upon the racecourse in Kildare and promises not to disappoint this year. Further acts will be announced in early March, before tickets go on sale on March 12th at 9am.
