Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has announced his first solo dates ahead of his debut album release.

The 28-year-old will play four Irish venues throughout May on a mini Irish solo tour. It has also been announced that he will play a solo set at Ibiza Rocks.

The Irish dates include Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick on May 14th, Cyprus Avenue, Cork on Saturday 15th May and Dublin's Academy on May 16th. The tour will end in Spring & Airbrake, Belfast on Monday 17th May.

Kele, who will perform under his first name alone, has been working with Hudson Mohawke on his album, due to be released later this year.
