Crosby, Stills And Nash, Crowded House And Joshua Radin Added To Hard Rock Calling

Hard Rock International and Live Nation announced today that a stellar line-up including Crosby, Stills & Nash, Crowded House, Elvis Costello, Joshua Radin plus many more have been added to the bill and will be joining Paul McCartney on Sunday 27 June at Hard Rock Calling 2010.

Folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash will be second on the already outstanding festival bill on Sunday 27 June. The trio of legendary singer-songwriters including David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash have all twice been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are currently embarking on an international tour.

Crowded House will also be joining the list of acts confirmed. Formed in Australia and led by New Zealand born Neil Finn, the band soon shot to fame with massive hits including “Don’t Dream Its Over”, “Fall at Your Feet” and “Weather With You”. After playing their farewell show in 1996, the band reformed more than 10 years later and have gone onto perform around the globe.

Neil Finn comments, “This is a day that I wouldn't want to miss for all the tea in China. I will be hearing songs from the masters McCartney, Crosby, Stills & Nash that I sang as a child and emulated as a teenager, and Elvis who laid down the gauntlet to all of us as we formed our bands. The scene is set, great music both modern and timeless.... and, God as if that wasn't good enough, we get to play too!”

Elvis Costello, one of the most gifted British musicians of all time, takes to the Hard Rock Calling stage for the first time when he returns to the UK for a few select and widely anticipated performances. Famed for his involvement in many different musical genres, Costello has made his mark on music’s history and will be a celebrated addition to this year’s festival.

Headlining the Pepsi Max Stage will be acoustic singer-songwriter Joshua Radin, critically acclaimed in the UK music press for his brand new album Simple Times, who was recently described by The Times as “medicine to the ears”. Ellen DeGeneres and Miley Cyrus are among his fast growing list of admirers and his music has already featured on hit TV shows including “Grey’s Anatomy”, “American Idol” and ”One Tree Hill”.

Joining Joshua Radin on the Pepsi Max Stage will be Tiffany Page, Lissie, The Coronas, Joe Echo and Little Steven's Underground Garage Revue featuring The Breakers, The Cocktail Slippers, and The Len Price 3, hosted by Little Steven Van Zandt.

Joe Echo said “Yet another amazing Hard Rock Calling line-up and I’m totally blown away to be playing Hyde Park with the legend that is Macca.”

Now in its fifth consecutive year, Hard Rock Calling has fully established itself as one of the UK’s premier outdoor music events. Past acts have included Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, The Who, Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters and The Police, who created what is now identified as the “must see” concert event on the UK festival circuit.

Hard Rock Calling, produced by Live Nation and presented by Hard Rock International, is a unique and historic musical event with a main stage, second stage and many surprises in store for fans of all ages. In addition to renowned bands and an on-site Hard Rock Cafe, the festival will include a variety of attractions to be announced at a later date.
