St Spirit Announce Debut EP 'Pigeon'

St. Spirit are a five-piece band named after the island San Esperito from the cult Xbox game Just Cause. Originating from South London the five nineteen year old friends formed the band whilst at college last year.

In an inspired moment of serendipity after guitarist Sam Robson heard frontman Myles McCabe’s song Palma Violets, and Myles heard Sam’s version of Moses Hogan’s five-part harmony rendition of the Gospel song, Elijah Rock. The missing pieces of the jigsaw came together when they heard My Bloody Valentine’s seminal album, Loveless – and everything fell into place.

Their debut album was recorded in a living room, by the band and mixed in a garden by world-renowned engineer Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters). The first taste of which is the Pigeon EP released through Distiller Records on the 20th of February 2012. To understand the St. Spirit sound is to experience them live at the following shows:

2nd February - Camden Barfly, London, NW1
14th February - The Social, London (Huw Stephens Introducing), W1W
17th February - Amersham Arms, London, SE14
29th February – Buffalo Bar, London, N1
