Slam Dunk Festival Announces Line Up
Slam Dunk

May 2010 bank holiday weekend sees the annual return of SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL, one of the most exciting and popular new festivals in the UK. This year however, it’s gotten even bigger and better. With the major success of the last 4 years, this year the festival takes the giant step of doubling in size. Because of its popularity, the Leeds site and format remains unchanged, though the festival grows with the addition of another site, this time in London, the day before.

This year's bands include New Found Glory (UK 2010 festival exclusive), The King Blues, Capdown, Four Year Strong and Set Your Goals with more bands being added and more announcements to come.

After much research, a suitable site for the London date has been found at the Hatfield Campus of The Univesity Of Hertfordshire. This is just north of London, with a 21 minute direct train from Kings Cross, and being on a junction of the A1, it has excellent transport routes. The site allows the same capacity and format as Leeds, so the festival now has the capacity of 10,000 people over the 2 days. The same bands will play both days, which are:
Saturday 29th May: ‘Slam Dunk Festival South’, University of Hertfordshire
Sunday 30th May: ‘Slam Dunk Festival North’, Leeds University

Festival Promoter Ben Ray says "I am extremly pleased that the success of previous years has allowed me to launch Slam Dunk South which allows even more people to get the chance to see so many quality bands. I think people enjoy the fact that it isn’t just one or two big stages and instead people can move freely between 7 stages, all with music they like, and see everyone from large international bands to great new UK talent. I really think I owe a lot to the small upcoming UK bands!"
