Now you know we at Glasswerk towers cream ourselves over the majestic beauty that is Muse, and after all the favourable coverage we have given them they hardly need another review but hey, if you dig a band you should let people know. Sing For Absolution is another monstrous power ballad with the classic muse overstatement and epic build up. Dreamy, ghostly Matt Bellamy contralto tenor (don’t quote me on that bit of music theory) vocals amble towards yet another passion filled chorus complete with dynamic effects and mesmerising axe wielding. Power angst doesn’t get better than this and the album mix is favoured over the shorter radio version simply because it adds another minute of joy to my little life.
