K115 - Boats Can't Fly Forever
Released: 21st September 2004
Label: Independent

Indie-rock….isn’t it all so passé? Not so, says K115, who blend indie-pop-rock with guitars that bite and butter-wouldn’t-melt vocals. This 4 track demo from the Ellesmere Port quartet starts off brightly enough, with ‘Make It Stay’ and ‘Tonight’ straight off the indie-blueprint, with the latter sounding like Louise Wener and Graham Coxon were playing in the same band. ‘Rock Out’ does exactly what it says on the tin, spiced up with a little more attitude, and ‘Boats Can’t Fly Forever’ brings the pace right down. K115 sound like the bastard child of Blondie and Elastica, and that’s not a bad place to start.
