By The Sea - Old Coasts
Released: 10th June 2011
Label: The Great Pop Supplement

By The Sea hail from the Wirral Peninsula, hiding out creating some of the freshest sounds around at the moment. This is clearly evident on their recent indie release of 'Old Coasts'. Released by intriguing London label The Great Pop Supplement, the single is out as a split Limited Edition 7" with The See The See's track 'Automobile' sharing the vinyl.

Old Coasts is a perfect blend of 60's psych, laced with gorgeous harmonies. The track skips along at a wonderful sun kissed pace. Lead singer Liam Power's subtle vocals sit perfectly over the chiming guitars. A buzz of early Stone Roses resonates around the ears matched with a cool sharp Californian feel.

The single is very limited edition so if you can grab one do as it's certainly one to treasure. Watch out for their new track 'Stay where the sun is'

Judging by this track coupled with the band's powerful live performances By The Sea are heading higher than the sun!
