When the Killers stopped making pop songs, their mantle was stolen by The Friendly Fires who took it to another level and weren’t afraid to nail their high tempo big beats to the mast. Rogues’ ‘not so pretty’ looks to hang onto the coat tails of the FF’s. All scenes spawn scenesters and Rogues would need some major justification to make us think otherwise.
‘Not so pretty’ has a killer guitar riff while the keys bounce all over the place and you cant help but tap your toes. However the falsetto vocals fail to bolster the delivery of the music. Muscle up the vocals a bit and they may have a big part to play!!
