Isa & the Filthy Tongues
Isa & the Filthy Tongues - Big Star
Released: 13th July 2009
Label: Circular Records

The Isa of this band represents a punk-rock queen of the 70's, 80’s eras. Ladies of this stature are few and far between. Siouxsie may still hold that crown at the moment, but so long as the likes of Isa are around to keep such strong female vocalists active then the world can surely not be doomed to mainstream blandness. Bland is something this mini band will never be.

It’s is only one song, but it is one that sets up tone, style and anticipation for what is to come. What we have here is a band who are bordering on sleeze americana rock - the kind of music that you'd expect to hear in a Tarantino movie! They strike a fine balance of rock and raw sex appeal in their music and lyrics.

There is also a re-release album out there too!
