Mid-tempo indie coasting of the Boxer Rebellion and M83 jamming Joy Division flavour, takes over in this snippet from the autumn released debut album, ‘Stuck In The Ocean’. Forlorn life-laboured lyrics are ground out by singer Elliot Williams.
A rising guitar churn, gives a bit of urgency to ‘Kids’, with soulful backing adding some vibrancy. It is well-crafted, but a little too laboured, yet does enough to promise a potentially epic and painstaking debut full-length is on the cards, adding to that inevitable morose autumn feeling.
