Bob Marley will always be one the the greatest artists in the history of music. To celebrate what would be his 60th birthday, a singles collection has been released, containing the gems that made us dance for over 3 generations.
Quite cleverly “Get Up Stand Up” - one of his classics – has here been remixed by Ashley Beedle with Damien ‘Jr Gong’ Marley’s “Welcome to Jamrock”. The resulting track is a deeply atmospheric one, uniting father and son and capable of updating the sound of the king of reggae to the 21st century. Worth the effort.
