Contrary to what their name suggests, Anshelle is not yet another R&B singer aiming for chart success. Instead Anshelle are a five piece Swiss band producing “whimsical guitar pop”. Already a huge hit in their home country they are hoping for similar success with the release of a single and album in the UK in 2008.

Luckily Anshelle have came prepared with ‘hooks’ as is required to really break the highly competitive market. “Stereophonic Girlfriends” has an eye catching title and an ear catching chorus and “Little Mountain” has just enough familiarity in the guitar riffs to endear itself to a UK audience. “Rewind Please”, one of their slower pieces, sees singer Michele Bachmann sound like a dead ringer for Alanis Morissette.

Anshelle are already making waves after the release of their first single “I’m Alright” and are likely to just keep getting bigger from here on in with their catchy songs and gifted lead singer.
