Ireland’s Ann Scott has a calming authority and a skill at creepily building the tone to take you on a tour of your emotions.

This is on the way to the mild pop strut of a chorus that makes you feel like you’ve been on a journey through your soul. An empathetic Bjork and Emilliana Torrini conjoining vocal stride, helps the delivery of the erstwhile, but comforting lyrics.

‘Imelda’, is well a chosen pick to advertise Scott’s waywardness and mind mulling tendencies. It is difficult to instil a forlorn vocal drag without labouring it, but this contemplative performer manages it effortlessly.
