Echo Screen - Goodbye Old Life
Released: Demo CD

Echo Screen are a pop punk band who are not afraid of taking any chances. 'Goodbye Old Life' the follow up to their 2006 album 'Euphoria' is an E.P. That has stretched their abilities right to the edges they are different to your average pop punk band that you see in the music industry these days. Starting with a catchy upbeat song called 'I Amsterdam' which is bound to draw in a young enthusiastic audience through Shaune Scutellaro's cheerful voice and catchy lyrics accompanied by soft guitar chords and a drum beat that is definitely there but not too overpowering for the rest of the song. Then to the total opposite end of the spectrum with songs like 'The Sun' which is led by a very powerful melody on the keyboard which is then slowly weened out by an unaggressive drum beat and guitar and soft bass line with lyrics that are meaningful which makes this song rather intense but still keeping the audience at ease. Overall it is an E.P. That is destined to do well and attract a range of different audiences due to the diversity and complexity of the E.P. By this they definitely have some thing that differentiates them from the usual pop punk bands.
