12 Stone Toddler sound like a fun band to be in. This new single, taken from their second album Scheming, bounces on an addictive/annoying vocal/guitar riff (to wit: ‘bam bam bam bam bam bam bam ....’) and boasts some neat, if sparsely applied, hooks from vocalist Chris Otero.
Any kind of chorus is conspicuously absent, but the song builds enticingly with a quickening pace and the help of some quirky keyboard sounds before coming to an abrupt end. It’s a slight song at 2:35, but good fun and a trio of decent remixes, including a pretty cool dub interpretation, serve as b-sides.
