Let’s Go Surfing doesn’t mess about, you’re instantly thrown the fast paced, 50’s surf rock inspired riff and slightly annoying yet catchy whistling, and so can’t help but quite like the summery, innocuous track. It’s not technically complicated and only just under three minutes long but it seems to be this simplicity of the song and the lyrics that makes it so effective. The Drums are about to support The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Big Pink on the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour so look out for them and their potential summertime hit at a festival near you in 2010!
