The Ghost Of A Thousand
The Ghost Of A Thousand - Knees, Toes, Teeth
Released: 9th November 2009
Label: Epitaph

Always nice to come across a new band that understands what it is to be punk. The Ghost of a Thousand sound like such a band on this single: three minutes of swaggering, dirty rock n roll.

Stooges-esque riffage drives the song, while vocalist Tom Lacey sounds decidedly aggrieved as he belts out his shout-sung vocals with lyrics full of joyful nihilism. It’s a credit to Epitaph that they signed the young band; in an age of pedestrian electro and dull singer-songwriter types, we need a bunch of snotty upstarts like The Ghost of a Thousand more than ever.
