Released: 28th March 2010
Label: Doombox Records

Electro slanted adventuring is seemingly carelessly cobbled together, using blotches of Pendulum, Hadouken, Gym Class Heroes and Ferry Corsten. It makes lead single, ‘The Ides’ robust, ranging and rave friendly. It’s a striking signpost to their forthcoming album, ‘Tales From, The Doombox’.

The A Side, a ‘Night Radio Edit’ has a stern narrative thread that builds upon a hanging, catchy backdrop and pop-dub loops adds some texture to the tune. ‘This Town’, climbs out from its B-side status to provide some delectable lounge/ambience, before it spills out into a digitally intoned melee.

Of ‘The Ides’ edits, the ‘Far Too Loud Remix’ gives the track an urban, Jurassic 5 tilt that also features robust Pendulum veined interludes. Obviously, there’s going to be the odd trance trip if you’re having six remixes. Although, to be fair, the ‘Subterra and Bazil Remix’, has a philistine edge, but still harnesses gyration friendly rhythm, whilst a drum N’ bass filter helps keep it fresh.

Subsource, on this evidence, will continue to inspire new moves on dance floors the country over, as well as giving you a little something with which to accompany your thinking time.
