Ready Set Low - Lost At Sea EP
Released: Demo CD

Working with Jason Wilcock at Stakeout Studios, Bath newcomers Ready Set Low have stamped their mark on the music scene with their debut EP, Lost At Sea.

It’s remotely driven with pop punk melodies and fused with gang vocals and break downs that add a more solid and rockier edge to the EP.

Admittedly the title track screams out the familiarity of Me vs Hero, but as you dive further in the record you can feel a sense of their own style emerging. The simplicity and minimalist sound in “October” draws your attention to the vocals, a voice you could listen to for hours and the use of harmonies really excel in this track. But it’s the final song “It’s Good To Be A Vampire” that catches my attention. It’s dynamic, raw and musically a little different to the previous tracks, which for me holds a stronger appeal.

I’d like to hear more of this in particular because it sounds more original.

Overall, they’ve produced an EP that crafts the foundations of their musical abilities to prove what they’re capable of, whilst indicating the potential to evolve into a more slick and distinguished band.
