The Roundhouse is in itself an extraordinary venue, so a night of old school emo and an original line up to boot was set to be epic, right?
Well right I guess. A fantastic entrance, the backdrop to the stage a Union flag, and opening straight away with ‘Cute Without the ‘E’’, the mincing and microphone tricks were back in full flow as Adam Lazzara and the gang blew Camden away.
They played quite a short set it seemed, though they say time flies when you’re having fun, and no encore which seemed weird, especially as the crowd were thriving off their every word.
The set was quite impressive, all the hits and the early tunes and some of the, what I presume will be singles, and favourites from the latest selftitled album. ‘Timberwolves of New Jersey’, ‘Twenty Twenty’ and all the ones you hear in the dirty rock clubs that you know and love made for a night of great singalongs. It seemed that everyone was out in their 16 year old self that night too, grins on everyone’s faces watching the microphone antics and minimal crowd interaction from the band. I am in no way denying that it wasn’t fantastic, just merely the set was not long enough, hey I was home by 11 and on a Friday night, that’s impressive.
