Latitude - Thursday @ Henham Park, Southwold, Sunrise Coast, Suffolk
Date: 14th July 2010

As the doors opened for this years Latitude, crowds started to flurry in with their bags. Tired after the long journey up to Henham Park, Suffolk the day started slowly. With a brisk wind but warm sunshine both grazing the site, festival fans were prepared for a rainy affair, holding tight to the local forecasts.

Tents pitched and everyone flocked into explore the arena. With the word of Tom Jones gig on everyone’s ears, excitement was in the air. As the evening darkened people began to congregate towards the Cinema Tent to watch the screening of hit 80’s film Blues Brothers followed by a special performance from Kitty, Daisy, Lewis.
There also seemed to be a prominent crowd enjoying the poetry, with the tent full to the brim.

So, as the clock struck midnight, everyone on site began heading towards the hotly tipped Tom Jones gig, with a vast amount of people all struggling to get to the tiny stage in the woods, crowd trouble was evident, atleast they had the psychedelic fountain to enjoy. Tom took the stage at 12.30, unaware of the crowd troubles, playing hits from his new album ‘Praise and Blame’ much to the annoyance of the audience. Though well received, fans called for favourites, but it became obvious that they were not coming.

Tom has also been announced as also playing the Obelisk Stage on Sunday.
