Feeder has now officially survived the untimely death of Jon Lee. Although obviously not their first since that tragic event, this means they’ve finally stepped out of the shadow of Coldplay and Snow Patrol. The first track, “Shatter” of this double A-side single from the Nochnoi Dozor directed film Night Watch soundtrack sees Feeder re-discover their dynamic sound and indecent art-work. The only downer is that this track lasts one second shy of three minutes but I doubt people will complain about length with music this exciting.
However, a reversal of fortunes happens on “Tender” as the appropriately named tune is more atmospheric in nature, which might be more to do with the film commissioning. This is just a little peaceful anti climax from the vigorous Shatter, overall though a huge collective sigh of relief for the original Feeder fans.
