These days the release of a new single by Oasis doesn’t quite cause the same outbreak of excitement it once did. Not that this bothers Noel Gallagher one iota, in fact you can imagine the now elder statesmen of British guitar music prefers his current position. These days Oasis make music for their fans, not for the general audience they once did. While their fan base is by no means small, in 2009 a new Oasis single no longer bears the weighty cultural resonance of previous years. The fact of the matter is if you like Oasis, you’ll like this.
