The Chemists are perfectly capable of creating decent music; it’s just that their core sound is being done to death all around them. That doesn’t make them any less capable, but it is hard to pinpoint what might be so good about them. A strong leading vocalist for sure. Other than that it’s a similar kind of story of heavy guitar.
What is interesting is that some of the remixes on this single offer a decent alternative beat and even some half decent electronic work… Sometimes makes you wonder what it may be like if bands took on this shape in their music.
