Razorlight seem to have a funny place in the music scene. It’s two years since their debut album ‘Up all Night’, but they have yet to make the huge impact you might expect. Sure, they are successful, with catchy songs, admittedly enjoyable tunes and large-scale sell out tours, yet latest release ‘America’ just seems like a blatant attempt at a stadium-singalong power ballad. Lyrically and musically, it has all the characteristics of a good song, and I won't try to claim I don't like it, but perhaps it’s the cynic in me thinks that it’s just a little TOO commercial. Let’s hope it gives them the chart success they deserve, and no doubt it will take pride of place in the set-list on their forthcoming arena tour. Perhaps live, the atmosphere would make all the difference. For more information you can visit: http://www.razorlight.co.uk
