Down to earth lyrics with a positive punch are delivered with a slightly paranoid, hurried vocal nudge by James Smith, winding around spacey guitars and whirling synths, but most of all, bolstered by the high profile percussion drill of Nick. This represents a new energy level for Hadouken! Producing what many had hoped that The Horrors were going to achieve and probably would have done but for their flighty kitsch deviations. A ‘Leap Of Faith’ is certainly what is required by those stuck in a The Twang comfort zone, but it’s certainly worthwhile.
