Cha-Cha
Cha-Cha - We Are
Released: 9th May 2010
Label: Pop Noodle

Local boys from London Blain McGuigan, Alex Cameron Ward and Samuel Garbut make up latest trio.... Cha-Cha. Not quite like the cheesy dance form but these boys certainly have some dirty disco music that would definetely make you want to boogie.

After releasing their first single Phonographic Love earlier this year we haven't heard much of these guys until now. With this latest release being their debut album 'We are in' we certainly are in for a treat. Layered with plenty of tasty indie numbers its nothing but a feast to sink your teeth into.

Now initially if assuming its just another 'indie' band you couldn't be more wrong. Even though these boys have certain rifts and beats compariative to The Killers or Vampire Weekend (and sometimes sounding quite similar to the Kooks), for some reason they seem to be different all the same. Token disco-pop tracks such as Juicy Lucy and The Fellowship certainly will have you singing along with the feel good vibe they produce. Saying that these boys can mellow out with their music with tunes like Bring You Down, giving off a folk rhythm and showing a more calm approach to their music.

These boys have definetely pumped this album full of great beats, fun vocals and playful guitar tracks and either way you look it, it seems there's a hint of everything we love about indie disco pop.

The album isn't to make world history but something about it somehow makes it stands out..... and this ones a winner and totally perfect for the summer months.
