With the welcome return of the Kings of Leon comes a single that is much more epic then anything they have done before, but still as great. The opening sounds all sweet and wistful, until the pounding bass, screeching guitars, and beating drums kick in.
This new direction involves a more coherent vocal style from lead singer Caleb Followill, as well as backing vocals and some exceptional guitar playing by Matthew Followill - especially his mini solo.
It’s just over three minutes long, but makes you wish it were longer. Warning: this is a song that will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. And you don’t sing it quite like Caleb does, do you?
To conclude, this song is utterly amazing and only a taster of what is to come from the king’s eagerly awaited third album, Because of the Times.
